What To Get For A New Baby

When having a baby, one of the most important things is remembering all you’ll need to buy for the little one. Diapers, wipes, clothes, bottles, there’s many things you’ll need to put on a list. Of course, baby showers will provide most of this but you may not get everything you need, either.

First of all, you’ll definitely need a crib or some type of bassinet so your baby can have somewhere safe and warm to sleep. When choosing bedding collections, look at the different types of cotton and flannel, and make sure to double check if your baby is allergic to anything. Non-allergenic cotton is a good bet when buying baby bedding.

You’ll need clothes, obviously, like t shirts and pants and dresses. A popular infant clothing item is the onesie, a one piece. It’s helpful when changing a lot of diapers. And speaking of diapers, you’ll want to make sure you have plenty of those as well as ointments with you. Also formula, if you’re not breast feeding.

Formula can be quite pricey but some new mothers can’t breast feed, or are uncomfortable breast feeding. Do some research on what the best formula is for your baby, and also check with your doctor.

You’ll need to safely transport your baby, so buy a stroller and a snugride car seat. Active toys for babies such as jumpers that attach to the ceiling, and swings, will keep them occupied and happy.

Diaper bags are a must have accessory. It should hold bottles and washcloths, change of clothes, extra wipes, baby food, and a changing pad. They even come in fashionable styles now for mothers who want something more stylish. There are also traditional, more baby geared type diaper bags.

One important thing to remember is a baby bath tub. When your baby is an infant it’ll be too small to wash in the regular tub. Baby bath tubs come in many shapes, sizes, and colors, and it’s also a good idea to get some baby bath toys for your baby to play with while in the tub.

When making a wishlist out for your baby shower you can put a lot of these things on there. If you’ve forgotten something or left something out, there’s bound to be a friend or family member who will remember the rest of what you need for you!
